about

When I came up with the basic idea for this song I was a little frustrated that many of the musicians I had approached said they "didn't have time" to contribute to my music.
Some gave the actual reason that they didn't like the music or liked it enough and were therefore not motivated. I can respect and understand that.

Originally I had turned on the drum computer to four-quarter time and played the guitar riff accordingly. It was only later that I found out that it works better with a six-eighth, alternating with a four-quarter time. Also, somewhere halfway through, there is a truncated six-eighth followed by a two-quarter time. Are you still there? ;)

A rough version of this song has been on the shelves for about three years, but recently I made what I think is a cool lead part on it, of which I am quite proud.

In the end I managed to get Erik Schenkel to play and record a drum part. Erik had made a few attempts, but they were not completely satisfactory.
After an hour of rest and listening carefully and air drumming at the same time, Erik managed to record this fantastic drum part.
His persistence paid off and now everyone can enjoy it. Thumbs up for Erik! \m/

I have also found Axel Zwinselman willing to record a Hammond track.
At first I programmed a midi-Hammond myself, but a real keyboard player gives it more feeling and I think it has become the icing on the cake. Thanks Axel!

Also special thanks to BokRock Studio, Deventer (NL).
