about

Why would you make a cover of a song that has actually already been perfectly recorded by the original artist?
I can give a few reasons for this.

Firstly because it is a beautiful song and I get inspired by it, especially with regard to the guitar playing, but I also like the guitar sounds a lot.
I therefore see it as a challenge to approach that somewhat, but it is nearly impossible to get it perfect.
Of course you don't have to, because it is much more fun to give it a little bit of your own twist, both in terms of playing and sound.
It took me a while to get the playing and also the sounds, in such a way that I was satisfied with it.

When it turns out that Erik Schenkel (Drums), with whom I have worked a lot lately, was in the same vein, the foundation was laid quickly.

Annelieke Vleugel (vocals) and Axel Zwinselman (keyboard / Hammond) also saw it as a fun challenge and their contribution is therefore highly appreciated, which is a bit of an understatement.
I think Annelieke has taken the song to a higher level and, although it is less noticeable, that also applies to Axel.
